Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the questions that are most frequently asked by patients. If you have questions that aren't answered here, please contact us. We'll get back to you as quickly as possible.

Why choose The Imaging Center | Medical Imaging?

When your doctor recommends a diagnostic imaging test such as a Mammogram, MRI or CT, you have a choice where that test is performed. At The Imaging Center | Medical Imaging, we are dedicated to ensuring you have an outstanding patient experience. We are committed to providing convenient, high quality radiology services at a price you can afford.

Is a signed MRI order valid at any radiology facility?

We accept all physician orders. All diagnostic imaging procedures must be recommended by your physician and require a signed physician order.

If I have had a previous exam, am I required to go back to the same facility?

No, we can request the images from your previous exam(s) so that our radiologists can compare changes that have taken place over time.

Will your office make sure that my exam is authorized with my insurance company before the exam?

Exams will not be performed without prior authorization from your insurance company.

Will I get a separate bill from the radiologist reading my exam?

You will receive just one bill that is all inclusive; the fee for your radiology test and the fee for the radiologist interpreting the test are included in one bill. At the hospital, you will be charged separately for these services.

How quickly can I be seen, and where are your locations?

The Imaging Center | Medical Imaging and NMMC are committed to serving you. Same-day and next-day appointments are usually available at either of our two locations.
